Enugu Commissioner for Science and Technology, Rejoices with Gov. Peter Mbah on Supreme Court Victory


In a landmark decision, Governor Peter Mbah of Enugu State emerged victorious in the 2023 governorship election, as confirmed by the Supreme Court earlier today. The Honourable Commissioner of the Ministry of Innovation, Science, and Technology, Engr Prince Lawrence Ozoemena Ezeh, extended his heartfelt congratulations to the Governor.


In a press release personally signed by Commissioner Ezeh, he expressed joy over the Supreme Court's decision, describing it as a "meritorious winning for Ndi Enugu, South Eastern States." He emphasized that the outcome underscores the shift towards meritocracy in today's democracy, highlighting the victory as a testament to the people's choice rather than mere propaganda.


The Commissioner acknowledged Governor Mbah's commitment to fulfilling the yearnings of the masses, citing the campaign slogan, "Our Tomorrow is Here." He commended the Governor for substantiating the promise in the few months since assuming office, reinforcing the belief that the aspirations of Ndi Enugu are indeed being realized.


As Enugu State celebrates this legal affirmation of Governor Peter Mbah's mandate, the Commissioner expressed optimism for a future marked by progress, innovation, and inclusive development under the leadership of His Excellency Dr Peter Ndubuisi Mbah.

Enugu: Mburubu 'Kingmakers' Council of Chiefs Denounce Controversial Self- Acclaimed Traditional Ruler

The Mburubu Council of Chiefs, also known as the Igwe Cabinet, has officially disowned Mr. Jerry Patrick Onukaibe, who recently proclaimed himself as the 'Igwe-elect' of Mburubu Kingdom. The council, in a communiqué released on Saturday, vehemently refuted any endorsement or recognition of Onukaibe for the revered position of traditional ruler. According to the communiqué, the council expressed deep embarrassment over Onukaibe's self-presentation to the Chairman of Nkanu East LGA, labeling it as an act of impersonation and emphasizing that he was never nominated, selected, or recommended by the community for such a role.
