Enugu Community Raises Alarm Over Recent Alleged Brutal Attacks by Suspected Fulani Herdsmen



Friday Saturday and Sunday Killing - Ehamufu 


Since Friday till today (Sunday, 2nd February, 2025) it has been a daily carnage in Ehamufu, Isi-Ụzọ LGA of Enugwu State. The pattern has been a helicopter flies past the town, then the attack will follow, and the military will take casualty to hospital/mortuary. The helicopter "reconnaissance" that started last Wednesday (29th January, 2025) has continued till this evening, Sunday, 2nd February, 2025. 


The sad thing is the dead silence everywhere, just as it is with that of Ụzọ-Ụwanị LGA. If and when Isi-Ụzọ and Ụzọ-Ụwanị LGAs fall, the rest of Igbo Nsụka will fall, then Enugwu State and Southeast will follow. The same pattern as happened from 8th July, 1967... 


Isi-Ụzọ and Ụzọ-Ụwanị constitute the richest arable land in Alaigbo. Yes, the herdsmen want Mgbuji and Abọ for years now. Mgbuji and Abọ host the most active farm settlements in the area. Once they take hold of these farm settlements, Ehamufu is gone, and ditto for Isi-Ụzọ/Udenu...
