BREAKING! Enugu Youth Ambassador Drags FG’s Attention to Insecurity in Isi-Uzo, Uzo-Uwani at Abuja Assembly Sitting

The Federal Government has been urged to swiftly intervene in the lingering security challenges ravaging Isi-Uzo and Uzo-Uwani Local Government Areas of Enugu State, following a passionate appeal by Ambassador Chidubem Ugwueze JP, Enugu State Ambassador of the Youth Assembly of Nigeria (YAN).

Ambassador Ugwueze made the call during the second sitting of the 4th Republic of the Youth Assembly of Nigeria, held at the Army Resource Centre, Asokoro, Federal Capital Territory, Abuja, under the theme “From Awareness to Action: Empowering Youth for National Security.” The session was presided over by the National Speaker, Hon. Famuyibo Oluwasegun (Captain).

Addressing participants, Ambassador Ugwueze highlighted the pains and concerns of young people in Enugu State, especially in communities grappling with continuous attacks in Isi-Uzo and Uzo-Uwani.

“It is an honour to present the plight of Ndi Enugu youths before the Honourable Minister for Defence, who was ably represented by his Technical Assistant, Maj. Gen. Jubril (Rtd). I appreciate his assurance of renewed commitment to address these pressing security issues in the affected areas,” he said.

The Assembly sitting attracted notable figures, including the Chairman of the Senate Committee on North Central Development and Senator representing Benue North West Senatorial District, Sen. Titus Zam Tartenger, alongside renowned ideologists, entrepreneurs, CEOs, clerics, and security experts.

Ambassador Ugwueze’s representation at the national platform underlines his commitment to fulfilling his promises to Enugu youths, emphasizing that closing the gap between government and the youth is key to national development.

“Our goal in YAN is clear: to bring the youths closer to the government and the government closer to the youths. This is the only way we can empower the next generation to take action and secure the future we all deserve,” he concluded.

The Youth Assembly of Nigeria continues to serve as a powerful platform for amplifying youth voices and promoting meaningful engagement for national security and development.
