HAPPENING NOW!! Akpabio Removes Natasha From Senate Position, Appoints Replacement



President of the Senate, Senator Godswill Akpabio, has removed Senator Natasha Akpoti-Uduaghan as Chairman of the Senate Committee on Diaspora and NGOs.

This development comes after Senator Natasha was removed as Chairman of the Local Content Committee in February and reassigned to chair the Diaspora and NGOs Committee. With the latest decision, Senator Natasha will now continue in the Senate without heading any committee.

Senator Akpabio has appointed Senator Aniekan Bassey, representing Akwa Ibom North East, as the new Chairman of the Senate Committee on Diaspora and NGOs.

Tragedy struck in Nsukka, Enugu State, as two persons were reportedly killed today, Tuesday, 24th of September 2024, in Nsukka Town in separate incidents involving the notorious Oriokpa masquerades, whose violent activities have continued to instill fear in the local communities. The first casualty, an unidentified middle-aged woman, met her untimely death at Aku Road, Obechara area, Nsukka, after being chased by one of the Oriokpa masquerades. [VIDEO] Suspected Fulani Herdsmen Invade Enugu Community, Attack Residents

   Residents of  Ikedinkpa Affa , a community in  Udi Local Government Area of Enugu State , have raised alarm over an alleged invasion by suspected  Fulani herdsmen , leading to attacks and heightened tension in the area. In a disturbing video shared online by  Mr. Emeka Amadi , an indigene of the community, he decried the growing insecurity, stating that armed assailants had taken over parts of the community. "Our people are under threat from the Fulani terrorists… These men of the underworld are scavenging the lives of our people.
