Gburugburu Free Surgery Programme Rescues Six Lives, Bolsters Enugu North Senatorial Zone's Health


Gburugburu Free Surgery Programme has orchestrated a significant wave of relief for Enugu State citizens. The initiative, under the unwavering patronage of His Excellency, Rt. Hon. Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi, and led by the dedicated Director-General, Dr. George Ajogwu, has successfully executed multiple life-changing surgical interventions.

The Gburugburu Free Surgery Programme, recognized for its commitment to enhancing the well-being of the state's populace, marked a momentous achievement by aiding six patients with complex surgical conditions within the Enugu North Senatorial Zone. Dr. George Ajogwu, the driving force behind the initiative, elaborated on the compassionate effort, noting the remarkable support extended by His Excellency, Barr. Peter Mbah, and Barr. Ifeanyi Ossai.

The program's latest triumph transpired on August 6th and 7th at the Chief Julius Ajogwu Memorial Hospital. Operating sessions are routinely held each Saturday, Sunday, and Thursday to accommodate the diverse needs of Enugu State residents. Rooted in its mission to provide healthcare solutions to financially marginalized citizens, especially those in remote regions, the Gburugburu Free Surgery Programme has steadily altered lives. Chimerimueze Ojiofor, aged 4, from Ugbene-Ajima, underwent successful procedures for Right Hydrocele of the Cord, Herniotomy, Herniorrhaphy, and Orchidopexy.

Mbaeze Chukwudi, aged 23, from Uvuru, underwent surgery for Right Inguinal Hernia and Herniorrhaphy.

Ajogwu Nnamdi, aged 32, from Uvuru, received treatment for a Giant Right Inguinoscrotal Hernia through herniorrhaphy.

Ayogu Joseph, aged 58, benefited from Lumpectomy for a chest Lipoma.

Ugwuoke Innocent, aged 40, from Iheaka Igbo-Eze South, underwent herniorrhaphy for a Giant Inguinoscrotal Hernia.

Nwaogbo Arinze, aged 37, received herniorrhaphy for a Giant Lipoma on the back.

The Director-General, Dr. George Ajogwu, emphasized that the program's achievements are made possible by the support of His Excellency, Rt. Hon. Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi, and their commitment to Governor Barr. Peter Mbah and Deputy Barr. Ifeanyi Ossai.
