Awgu LGA Chairman Transforming Awgu with Developmental Projects, As Enugu State Economic Planning Team Extol Hon Pedro Okwudili Nwankwo AWGU IS IN SAFE HANDS: A Tour on the Ongoing Projects in Awgu LGA Under the Leadership of Hon. Pedro Okwudili Nwankwo, the Executive Chairman.

 


Awgu Local Government Area has been rated as one of the most progressive among other Local Government councils in Enugu State by FountainCare Reporters Inspection Team, after undertaking a comprehensive project tour to ascertain the level of work going on in the council under the chairmanship of Hon. Pedro Okwudili Nwankwo (Eze Ome-Ogo).

One of the most outstanding views was The Construction of Ọnụ-Iyido-Awa Bridge, Mgbidi in Mgbidi/Mmakụ Ward, Awgu LGA. This is one of Hon. Pedro Okwudili Nwankwo's ongoing projects. He was commended for Swiftly making a covert provision as a temporary alternative route while the bridge is being constructed.

This project is of utmost importance due to the economic benefits it offers to the communities in the area, namely Mgbidi, Mmakụ, Nkwe, Ezerre, and Awgunta.

It was revealed that Hon. Pedro Okwudili Nwankwo, the Council Chairman of Awgu, took swift action upon receiving a plea from the stakeholders of Mgbidi regarding the collapsed bridge that serves four communities in Anike Development Center: Ezinese Mgbidi, Nkwe, Ezerre, and Awgunta, as well as one community in Awgu Central Development Centre - Ezineri Mgbidi community. 


This vital bridge connects Mmakụ, Obeagụ, Awgunta, and Awgu town.

According to the findings of the inspection team, they discovered that Chairman Nwankwo has been actively executing numerous projects in various communities and towns. The transformation of Awgu Local Government Council from their last visit left the FountainCare Inspection Team amazed.

Other ongoing projects include the construction of Governor Peter Mbah's Lodge, the reconstruction of Orie Awgu daily market in partnership with Awgu Egbeleli development union, Central School Awgu in Awgu Ward 1 under reconstruction by Hon. Pedro Okwudili Nwankwo's administration, ICT/Office complex at the Local Government Secretariat, Ugbo Health Center, Onoli Community Primary School in Awgu Ward II, Awgu LGA (ongoing), Onoli-Obuovia Road, Central School Nkwe in Anike/Ugwueme Ward, and many more projects documented in videos and pictures by the inspection team.

Both video and pictorial evidence confirms the existence of ongoing projects within the local government, including essential infrastructure developments. While some projects are nearing completion, others are steadily progressing. 

The satisfaction expressed by the FountainCare Inspection Team during their visit demonstrates that the council Chairman is working tirelessly to bring progress and development to Awgu Local Government Area. Awgu is indeed in safe hands under the leadership of Hon. Pedro Okwudili Nwankwo.

Enugu: Mburubu 'Kingmakers' Council of Chiefs Denounce Controversial Self- Acclaimed Traditional Ruler

The Mburubu Council of Chiefs, also known as the Igwe Cabinet, has officially disowned Mr. Jerry Patrick Onukaibe, who recently proclaimed himself as the 'Igwe-elect' of Mburubu Kingdom.
