ENUGU: Gov. Mbah Lauded for Youth Empowerment Strategy as Enugu SME Center Celebrates Graduands in the MTN ICT & Business Skills Incubation Program in partnership with Microsoft and Meta, 20 Participants Rewarded with 6Million Equipment Grants


Governor Peter Mbah of Enugu State has earned widespread praise for his groundbreaking Empowerment Strategy, which highlights his dedication to youth empowerment and economic growth. This recognition was bestowed upon him at the recent graduation ceremony held by the Enugu SME Center, celebrating the accomplishments of trainees in Microsoft AI and Meta Marketing Tools.

Governor Peter Mbah's vision to empower Enugu's youth and equip them with skills for economic productivity came to fruition through an intensive five-week training program in Microsoft AI and Meta Marketing Tools. The conclusion of this program marked a significant achievement for 20 talented individuals, who were granted equipment worth a total of N6,000,000 as a reward.

The MTN Foundation, Microsoft, and Meta played an essential role in making this heartwarming announcement possible by generously supporting the initiative. Each of the 20 Enugu participants received equipment grants, underscoring their commitment to nurturing local talent and fostering economic growth.

Hon. Arinze Chilo-Offiah, Special Assistant on SME to the Executive Governor of Enugu State, expressed gratitude on behalf of the Enugu SME Center, appreciating Governor Peter Mbah's visionary leadership and the invaluable contributions of partners. He stated, "We are thrilled to share highlights from the graduation ceremony of the MTN ICT and Business Skills Training Program, first by acknowledging the innovative Governor of Enugu State for empowering the youth with ICT skills. The event celebrated the dedication and hard work of these graduates in mastering cutting-edge technologies."

What sets these 20 individuals apart is their exceptional performance, as they ranked among the top 300 out of over 6,000 participants nationwide. As a reward, each graduate received N300,000 in equipment grants, totaling N6,000,000. This financial support will undoubtedly empower these graduates to pursue entrepreneurial ventures and contribute to the local economy.


The Enugu SME Center also extended its heartfelt appreciation to the MTN Foundation, Microsoft, and Meta for their invaluable support, underscoring the crucial role these partnerships play in skill development and providing essential resources for budding entrepreneurs.

Enugu: Mburubu 'Kingmakers' Council of Chiefs Denounce Controversial Self- Acclaimed Traditional Ruler

The Mburubu Council of Chiefs, also known as the Igwe Cabinet, has officially disowned Mr. Jerry Patrick Onukaibe, who recently proclaimed himself as the 'Igwe-elect' of Mburubu Kingdom. The council, in a communiqué released on Saturday, vehemently refuted any endorsement or recognition of Onukaibe for the revered position of traditional ruler.
