Nkanu East Youths Warn Against Defaming Of Ex-Chairman, Hon. Edeh's Character

 


The attention of Nkanu East youths has been drawn to baseless and unfounded allegations from one David Nwachukwu Ani from Nkerefi against the former local government council chairman of Nkanu East, Hon Sydney Okechukwu Edeh. 

   David, who is known for castigating and blackmailing of political leaders in the state alleged that Hon.  Edeh bought house worth 500,000 000 with council money, that the former council mayor did not declare his asset on and before assuming office,  also that the former council mayor who doubles as ALGON Enugu State Chairman collected N1.5m from 17 chairmen. 

   The general public should disregard the fellow who is mentally ill. It is worthy to note that Hon Sydney Okechukwu Edeh is a successful business man that can comfortably purchase property of his choice with his personal money even before becoming the local government council chairman. 

.. As Nkanu East LGA chairman, Hon Edeh judiciously utilized the local government allocation for the interest of the people by embarking on laudable projects few of which are, two bridges at ugbawka and Nara, road construction with drainages and solar lights, reconnection of Nara/ugbawka electricity that was destroyed by criminals, grading of roads, establishing of  cassava farm at Amagunze and Akpawfu, building multipurpose hall at the Council headquarters, clearing of Agudene forest that brought peace to Nkanu East, and military base at Aguudele Akpawfu among many others too numerous developmental projects.     

    Upon expiration of his tenure as Nkanu East LGA chairman, Hon Sydney Okechukwu Edeh remains ALGON Chairman by constitution of ALGON until a replacement is made. He will continue to supervise and oversee the activities of the council areas in the state until another chairman emerges. He is not the first to occupy the position and complete his tenure as ALGON Chairman without being LGA chairman. Ọzọ Nwabuze Okafor, (Okpocha Ngene) held the ALGON Chairman and national president for one year after expiration of his tenure as LGA chairman of Enugu south. Again, General public especially people of Nkanu East LGA that care to know about asset declaration by Hon Okey Edeh, can go to code of conduct office in Enugu for verification. 

  Having said this, it is becoming obvious that there are some individuals using this miscreants and unscrupulous elements to blackmail and defame the former chairman whom they see as threat to their ambitions of becoming Nkanu East LGA chairman. The former chairman is committed to seeing the success of Barr Peter Mbah's administration and as such working effortlessly in supporting him than sponsoring propaganda against anyone. Those from Ihuokpara instigating and sponsoring Nkerefi against the ex Chairman while indirectly seeking for the chairmanship position are chameleons that shouldn't be trusted by anyone. 


We know all the sponsors and in due time  they will be exposed. All the household enemies, behaving like snakes thinking that they are not known,be rest assured that we see and hear everything both those in Lagos and Abuja trying to thwart the peace we are enjoying in Nkanu East, God will expose all of you very soon 


   It is on this note that we the youths of Nkanu East warn mischief makers to desist from maligning and slandering Hon Sydney Okechukwu Edeh as that can never be tolerated again.

Enugu: Mburubu 'Kingmakers' Council of Chiefs Denounce Controversial Self- Acclaimed Traditional Ruler

The Mburubu Council of Chiefs, also known as the Igwe Cabinet, has officially disowned Mr. Jerry Patrick Onukaibe, who recently proclaimed himself as the 'Igwe-elect' of Mburubu Kingdom. The council, in a communiqué released on Saturday, vehemently refuted any endorsement or recognition of Onukaibe for the revered position of traditional ruler.
