Gov Peter Mbah to Speek to Enugu Youths at their Maiden Leadership and Business Summit

 


The Enugu Innovative Youths Group is set to make a historic impact this Saturday, June 22, 2024, as they host the Enugu Leadership and Business Summit at the University of Nigeria Enugu Campus (UNEC). The event, themed "The Role of Youths in Building a New Enugu," aims to inspire and drive positive change among the youth in the state.

A highlight of the summit will be the keynote address delivered by His Excellency, Barr. Dr. Peter Ndubuisi Mbah, the Executive Governor of Enugu State. Governor Mbah, renowned for his visionary leadership and commitment to youth empowerment, is expected to share his insights on leadership and business development, setting the tone for a transformative gathering. The event will commence at 11:00 AM and is poised to be a landmark occasion for the region's youth.

In an exclusive interview with newsmen, Ambassador Chimaobi Aninwaene, the Spiritual Director of the Enugu Innovative Youths Group, and Hon. Edeani M. Edeani (JP), Chairman of the Summit's Contact and Mobilization Committee, expressed their excitement and readiness for the event.

Hon. Edeani highlighted the extensive preparations undertaken by the group, stating, "We are more than ready to make a positive impact in Enugu through this program. It will attract men of leadership and goodwill, and I am delighted with the initiatives lined up for Enugu youths, which will ensue after the event."

Amb. Aninwaene underscored the importance of spiritual preparedness in addition to physical readiness. "We have been preparing the youth physically and spiritually, and we trust that God is on our side. It will be a great event, as God has promised," he said.

Enugu: Mburubu 'Kingmakers' Council of Chiefs Denounce Controversial Self- Acclaimed Traditional Ruler

The Mburubu Council of Chiefs, also known as the Igwe Cabinet, has officially disowned Mr. Jerry Patrick Onukaibe, who recently proclaimed himself as the 'Igwe-elect' of Mburubu Kingdom. The council, in a communiqué released on Saturday, vehemently refuted any endorsement or recognition of Onukaibe for the revered position of traditional ruler. According to the communiqué, the council expressed deep embarrassment over Onukaibe's self-presentation to the Chairman of Nkanu East LGA, labeling it as an act of impersonation and emphasizing that he was never nominated, selected, or recommended by the community for such a role.
