In yet another major crackdown on criminal elements linked to mystical practices in Anambra State, security operatives have finally apprehended a notorious native doctor popularly known as Ebubedike. The arrest, which took place today, comes after multiple unsuccessful attempts by law enforcement due to his reported ability to disappear whenever security forces raided his shrine.

Eyewitnesses claim that Ebubedike had evaded capture several times using supernatural means, vanishing into thin air just as operatives closed in on him. However, his luck ran out today when he was reportedly neutralized and taken into custody by the vigilant Anambra State security outfit.

This development follows the recent arrest of another celebrity native doctor, Akwa Okuko Tiwaraki n’Oba, on February 8, 2025. Akwa Okuko was accused of preparing powerful charms, including ‘Okeite,’ for kidnappers and internet fraudsters, leading to his detention for further investigation. His arrest sparked widespread reactions, with some groups condemning the action, while others praised the state government for cracking down on criminal collaborations between native doctors and criminals.

The latest arrest of Ebubedike reinforces the commitment of Anambra’s security agencies to dismantle networks of criminal elements who rely on mystical protection to evade justice. Authorities have assured that further investigations will be carried out to determine the full extent of his alleged involvement in aiding criminal activities.

   Residents of  Ikedinkpa Affa , a community in  Udi Local Government Area of Enugu State , have raised alarm over an alleged invasion by suspected  Fulani herdsmen , leading to attacks and heightened tension in the area. In a disturbing video shared online by  Mr. Emeka Amadi , an indigene of the community, he decried the growing insecurity, stating that armed assailants had taken over parts of the community.
