Enugu North LG Launches SkillUp Project in Hospitality for Young Residents



Enugu North Local Government Area has rolled out a new empowerment initiative tagged the SkillUp Project in Hospitality, in partnership with Lantana Academy, aimed at equipping young residents with practical skills for global career opportunities in the hospitality sector.

The program, which will run for six months, is designed to provide intensive training in key areas of hospitality, including Customer Service Excellence, Food and Beverage Services, Front Office Management, Housekeeping & Facility Management, and Professional Ethics & Workplace Readiness.

According to the organizers, the SkillUp Project seeks to prepare participants for both local and international opportunities by exposing them to industry-standard training, hands-on practical sessions, and workplace readiness programs. The initiative underscores the council’s commitment to youth empowerment, skills development, and economic advancement for residents of Enugu North.

Young people who secure admission into the program will learn directly from industry professionals, gain invaluable experience, and develop skills that position them competitively in the global job market.
