Youth Assembly of Nigeria (YAN) Enugu State Mourns with Igbo-Eze South Council Chairman on Death of Majority Leader




....Commends Hon. Barr. Ferdinald Ukwueze for Humanitarian Deeds


The Youth Assembly of Nigeria (YAN), Enugu State Chapter has paid their last respect to one of their members, the Majority Leader of YAN in Igbo-Eze South Local Government Area, Late Charles Ejike Onah. Onah tragically lost his life in a fatal road accident on August 5, 2025. The deceased, who left behind a wife and five children was honored in a solemn outing attended by top officers and delegates of YAN across Enugu State.


Present at the burial were YAN National Executive of the BOT Hon. Ezenwata Nwangwu, State Ambassador Amb. Chidubem Ugwueze JP, State Speaker Comr. Onyeachonam Ugochukwu, State Clerk Comr. Chima Eze, Engr. Henry Chibuike, Leader of Igbo-Eze South and other Leaders of different LGAs, as well as Ward Principal Officers from Igbo-Eze South and North.


The delegation was led by YAN’s Legal Adviser and Executive Chairman of Igbo-Eze South/Deputy ALGON Chairman, Enugu State, Hon. Barr. Ferdinand Ukwueze, who has been commended for his outstanding sacrifices and fatherly role throughout the burial. In a remarkable show of compassion, Hon. Ukwueze not only provided the needed support for the burial but also offered automatic employment to the widow and the deceased’s immediate brother. He further pledged to take full responsibility for the welfare of the five children, covering their education, feeding, and clothing.


Describing Hon. Ukwueze as a “true father of the youths,” the State Ambassador of YAN, Amb. Chidubem Ugwueze JP, praised his rare leadership qualities and prayed for God’s continuous blessings upon him. He also made a heartfelt presentation on behalf of YAN Enugu State, Enugu North Zone, Igbo-Eze South L.G.A, offering a token of support to the grieving family and assuring them of YAN’s unflinching solidarity.


In conclusion, the Assembly prayed fervently against such tragic accidental occurrences in the future, saying: “Ozoemena” (may it never happen again).
