In a resounding show of solidarity and admiration, the Kpakpando Women Support Group, popularly known as Star Women for Peter Mbah, has congratulated the Governor of Enugu State, His Excellency Barr. (Dr.) Peter Ndubuisi Mbah, on his bold and strategic decision to join the All Progressives Congress (APC), describing the move as a “masterstroke of political wisdom” that will open new doors of growth and prosperity for the people of Enugu State.

The women’s group, under the leadership of its Director General, Amb. Mrs. Amaka Nweke JP, praised Governor Mbah for his courage, foresight, and visionary leadership, noting that his realignment with President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Initiative represents a new dawn for Enugu and the entire South East region.

In a statement personally signed by Amb. Nweke and released to journalists in Enugu, the group said the Governor’s decision reflects his commitment to development, inclusiveness, and the overall wellbeing of the people, emphasizing that the move would position Enugu for greater access to national opportunities and federal support.

Speaking further, Amb. Nweke described Governor Mbah as a trailblazer and reformer whose leadership has redefined governance through innovation, courage, and results. She noted that women across Enugu are inspired by the Governor’s inclusive policies and commitment to transforming the state into a hub of investment and progress.

 “Governor Peter Mbah is not just leading a government, he is leading a movement of transformation. His courage to take this strategic step shows his determination to ensure Enugu is fully integrated into national development. As women, mothers, and builders of the home and society, we stand firmly with him,” Nweke affirmed.

She further emphasized that the Kpakpando Women Support Group will embark on a massive grassroots sensitization campaign to mobilize women across all 17 local government areas in support of the Governor’s vision and the APC’s renewed development agenda for Enugu State.

Enugu: Finally, Suspected Killers of Ogbete Market Chairman Arrested

Operatives of the Enugu State Police Command have arrested two suspects linked to the killing of Mr. Stephen Aniagu, Chairman of the Ogbete Main Market Traders’ Association (OMMATA).    Residents of  Ikedinkpa Affa , a community in  Udi Local Government Area of Enugu State , have raised alarm over an alleged invasion by suspected  Fulani herdsmen , leading to attacks and heightened tension in the area. In a disturbing video shared online by  Mr. Emeka Amadi , an indigene of the community, he decried the growing insecurity, stating that armed assailants had taken over parts of the community.
