Two House-helps Arrested For Allegedly Stealing $1 Million, €300,000, Others From a Politician’s Home   


Two house helps of the Minister of Sanitation , Cecilia Abena Dapaah and her husband, Daniel Osei Kuffour are before an Accra Circuit Court, for allegedly stealing monies and items running into millions of Ghana Cedis


The said monies were allegedly stolen from the couple’s room in their house at Abelemkpe, Accra.


Patience Botwe, 18 and Sarah Agyei, 30 reportedly stole the monies and personal effects of the couple between the months of July and October 2022.


The first accused, Patience, also has her current and former boyfriends, as well as her father, all being dragged before the same court.


Patience and Sarah, are charged with one count of conspiracy to commit a crime and five counts of stealing US$1 million, €300,000 and millions of Ghana cedis.


Within the same period, Patience and Sarah allegedly stole personal effects of Madam Cecilia valued at GH¢95,000.

Enugu: Finally, Suspected Killers of Ogbete Market Chairman Arrested

Operatives of the Enugu State Police Command have arrested two suspects linked to the killing of Mr. Stephen Aniagu, Chairman of the Ogbete Main Market Traders’ Association (OMMATA). The tragic incident occurred on September 14, 2024, when Mr. Aniagu was shot at Moses Ogbodo Junction near Topland Market in Amaechi, Enugu South Local Government Area.   Parading the suspects at the command headquarters on Friday, the Spokesperson of the Enugu State Police Command, DSP Daniel Ndukwe, disclosed that the arrests were the result of diligent intelligence work and coordinated efforts between detectives from the Anti-Robbery Section (D9) of the State CID and operatives of the Anti-Kidnapping Tactical Squad.   The suspects were identified as Chukwudi Aboshi, a 28-year-old native of Anike in Ikwo Local Government Area of Ebonyi State, and Ani Innocent Ebuka, also known as “Excellent,” a driver and native of Isigwe-Ugbawka in Nkanu East Local Government Area. A dramatic incident unfolded in the early hours of Sunday morning at a hotel in Agbani, Enugu State, when a woman, popularly known as Madam Gold , attacked a young lady, Ijeoma Nnamani, over an alleged affair with her sugar boy, identified as Micheal Ozoh. The altercation, which took place around 5 a.m., reportedly began when Madam Gold stormed the hotel, banging on the door of the room occupied by Micheal and Ijeoma.
