A joyous atmosphere envelops Enugu as the Gburugburu Free Surgery Programme, spearheaded by former Governor His Excellency Rt. Hon. Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi, accomplishes the successful delivery of two baby boys through distinct Caesarean Sections (CS). In a parallel triumph, the program orchestrated life-saving surgical procedures for a 1-year-5-months-old boy grappling with a Right Hydrocoele of the Cord.


Overwhelmed with joy and gratitude, families of the newborns expressed their appreciation for the successful deliveries facilitated by this humanitarian healthcare initiative. Prayers flowed towards Rt. Hon. Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi, lauding his compassionate stance towards humanity. The parents of the 1-year-5-months-old boy, now beneficiaries of the Gburugburu Free Surgery Programme, joined the celebration, emphasizing the transformative impact in Enugu State.


Dr. George Ajogwu, Director-General of the Gburugburu Free Surgery Programme, shared intricate details of the surgeries. "To the glory of God, the surgeries unfolded from 10 pm on November 29th to 4 am today, November 30th, encompassing several hours of active and successful operations. By God's Grace, we delivered two boys through different Caesarean Sections and performed surgery on a 1-year-5-months old baby. To God be the Glory," he proclaimed.


Ugwuanyi's philanthropic endeavors received commendation, with Dr. Ajogwu underscoring their alignment with the former Governor's commitment to supporting the current administration led by His Excellency, Barr. Peter Mbah, and Deputy Governor, His Excellency, Barr Ifeanyi Ossai.


Founded and generously financed by Rt. Hon. Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi, the Gburugburu Free Surgery Programme continues to bridge gaps created by financial constraints for Enugu citizens, earning admiration for its steadfast dedication to alleviating healthcare challenges in the state.


This recent success echoes the life-saving intervention for a 14-year-old boy in Ugwuaji, Enugu South LGA, addressing hernia, along with two others grappling with chest and neck giant lipomas. The Gburugburu Free Surgery Programme stands as a resounding testament to Rt. Hon. Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi's love and unwavering commitment to the well-being of the people of Enugu State.

Enugu: Mburubu 'Kingmakers' Council of Chiefs Denounce Controversial Self- Acclaimed Traditional Ruler

The Mburubu Council of Chiefs, also known as the Igwe Cabinet, has officially disowned Mr. Jerry Patrick Onukaibe, who recently proclaimed himself as the 'Igwe-elect' of Mburubu Kingdom. The council, in a communiqué released on Saturday, vehemently refuted any endorsement or recognition of Onukaibe for the revered position of traditional ruler.
