Rt. Hon. Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi's Gburugburu Free Surgery Programme Director Congratulates Jack Solo on Appeal Victory


 In his heartfelt congratulatory message, Dr. George Ajogwu, the Director General of Rt. Hon. Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi's Gburugburu Free Surgery Programme, extends warm congratulations to Hon. Solomon Izuchukwu Onah, widely known as Jack Solo, on his resounding victory at the Court of Appeal, reclaiming his mandate as the authentic winner of Udenu Constituency in the Enugu State House of Assembly.


Dr. Ajogwu, on behalf of the entire medical team, expresses deepest gratitude to God for making Hon. Onah's reclaiming of his mandate possible. In a statement released on Friday, he acknowledged the judiciary's commitment to justice, stating, "We appreciate the judiciary for towing the path of justice. It can only be God."


The Court of Appeal in Lagos affirmed the removal of Hon. Ijere Obinna Anthony from the Labour Party as the representative for Udenu Constituency in the State House of Assembly. The three-member panel, led by Honourable Justice Adie Attoe Onyebueke, delivered the verdict on September 30th following a petition by the Peoples Democratic Party's candidate, Solomon Izuchukwu Onah.


During the Appeal Court Ruling and Final Verdict, Unsatisfied with the initial judgment, Hon. Ijere Obinna Anthony sought recourse at the appeal court to challenge the tribunal's decision. However, in today's ruling, the appellate court dismissed the appeal, citing a lack of merit and affirming the lower court's decision. Consequently, the Court mandates the electoral commission to issue a certificate of return to Hon. Onah, securing his position as the legitimate representative for Udenu Constituency in the State House of Assembly. The Gburugburu Free Surgery Programme joins in celebrating this significant legal triumph for Jack Solo.

Enugu: Mburubu 'Kingmakers' Council of Chiefs Denounce Controversial Self- Acclaimed Traditional Ruler

The Mburubu Council of Chiefs, also known as the Igwe Cabinet, has officially disowned Mr. Jerry Patrick Onukaibe, who recently proclaimed himself as the 'Igwe-elect' of Mburubu Kingdom. The council, in a communiqué released on Saturday, vehemently refuted any endorsement or recognition of Onukaibe for the revered position of traditional ruler.
