Gburugburu Free Surgery Programme Director Congratulates Gov. Peter Mbah and Deputy Barr Ifeanyi Ossai, as Supreme Court Upholds Enugu State Governor's Victory


Enugu State witnessed jubilation as the Supreme Court upheld the victory of Governor Barr. Peter Mbah and Deputy Governor Barr. Ifeanyi Ossai in a legal battle that marked a decisive moment for the state. Dr. George Ajogwu, the Director General of Gburugburu Free Surgery Programme, conveyed his elation and extended congratulations to the triumphant leaders.


Dr. Ajogwu lauded the unwavering support of Rt. Hon. Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi, the former Governor and founder of Gburugburu Free Surgery Programme, emphasizing Ugwuanyi's dedication to ensuring justice prevailed for Governor Mbah and Deputy Governor Ossai.

The Supreme Court's dismissal of the Labour Party candidate Chijoke Edeoga's appeal solidified the earlier decisions of the tribunal and the Court of Appeal, affirming Governor Mbah's victory in the March 18th Governorship poll conducted by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC).


This legal triumph not only secures Governor Mbah's position but also validates the mandate bestowed upon him by the people of Enugu State. Enugu: Mburubu 'Kingmakers' Council of Chiefs Denounce Controversial Self- Acclaimed Traditional Ruler

The Mburubu Council of Chiefs, also known as the Igwe Cabinet, has officially disowned Mr. Jerry Patrick Onukaibe, who recently proclaimed himself as the 'Igwe-elect' of Mburubu Kingdom. The council, in a communiqué released on Saturday, vehemently refuted any endorsement or recognition of Onukaibe for the revered position of traditional ruler.
