IMT Celebrates Gov. Peter Mbah's Supreme Court Victory


The Institute of Management and Technology (IMT) in Enugu is alive with jubilation today as Governor Peter Ndubuisi Mbah secures a resounding triumph at the Supreme Court. The management team, led by Rector Prof. Augustine Uchechukwu Nweze, PhD, expressed profound joy in a statement, extending heartfelt congratulations to the Governor.


Prof. Nweze attributed the victory to the Almighty, stating, "It is the Almighty God at Work." The Supreme Court, in its verdict today, dismissed the appeal seeking to annul Governor Mbah's election, reinforcing both the tribunal and the Appeal Court's affirmation of the Independent National Electoral Commission's declaration of Mbah as the winner of the March 18th Governorship election.


This victory follows the unanimous decision of the Court of Appeal in Lagos on November 10th, which upheld Governor Peter Mbah's position, dismissing all concerns raised by the opposing party. Prof. Nweze emphasized, "We cannot hide our joy; it has ended in praise. It is time for the Executive Governor of Enugu State, His Excellency, Barr Peter Ndubuisi Mbah, to concentrate on the good work he has started in Enugu State."


The IMT management's elation mirrors the sentiments of Enugu State, marking a significant milestone in Governor Peter Mbah's leadership. This triumph ensures the continuity of his commitment to the welfare of Ndi Enugu, cementing his place as a leader dedicated to the progress and prosperity of the state.

Enugu: Mburubu 'Kingmakers' Council of Chiefs Denounce Controversial Self- Acclaimed Traditional Ruler

The Mburubu Council of Chiefs, also known as the Igwe Cabinet, has officially disowned Mr. Jerry Patrick Onukaibe, who recently proclaimed himself as the 'Igwe-elect' of Mburubu Kingdom. The council, in a communiqué released on Saturday, vehemently refuted any endorsement or recognition of Onukaibe for the revered position of traditional ruler. According to the communiqué, the council expressed deep embarrassment over Onukaibe's self-presentation to the Chairman of Nkanu East LGA, labeling it as an act of impersonation and emphasizing that he was never nominated, selected, or recommended by the community for such a role.
