JUST IN: Ugwuanyi Makes Mark, Spreads Humanitarian Services Beyond State Borders


In his compassionate gesture for the Festive Season, the Gburugburu Free Surgery Programme, founded and financed by Rt. Hon. Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi, the former Governor of Enugu State, has successfully intervened to save the lives of Five Individuals, spanning Abia, Imo, Ebonyi, and Enugu states.

The beneficiaries of this humanitarian initiative include 7-year-old Emeniola Chidera from Ohafia in Abia State, 07065242060, who underwent Right Hydrocoele of the cord and Herniotomy; and Abigail Obinna, a 16-year-old from Abakiliki in Ebonyi State, 08038739123, who received Herniorrhaphy and Appendectomy for Umbilical hernia and Appendicitis.

Enugu State residents who benefited from the recent intervention include Akor Christian from Nimbo, 09041305315, undergoing Lumpectomy for a Giant Lipoma, and Ugwuanyi Chinonso from Opi in Nsukka Local Government Council, 08058223861, receiving complex procedures to address Right inguinoscrotal hernia and associated Hydrocoele.

Esther Ukamaka from Orba in Udenu Local Government Area of Enugu State, 09130845628, had Lumpectomy to address a Giant Lipoma on her back. The surgeries, initiated on Thursday, December 28th, were successfully concluded on Friday, December 29th, 2023.

According to the Director-General of the Initiative, these healthcare interventions align with the founder's, Rt. Hon. Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi, commitment to humanitarian causes. Ugwuanyi's dedication to supporting good governance in Enugu State, under Governor Barr. Peter Mbah and Deputy Governor Barr Ifeanyi Ossai, has further strengthened the impact of the Gburugburu Free Surgery Programme.

In his APPRECIATION NOTE as the end of the year 2023 draws to a close, the Director-General of Gburugburu Free Surgery Programme, Dr. George Ajogwu commended Rt. Hon. Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi for his support to the continuity of the Programme and His Excellency Barr Peter Mbah, and Deputy Barr Ifeanyi Ossai for their good governance in Enugu State.

Enugu: Mburubu 'Kingmakers' Council of Chiefs Denounce Controversial Self- Acclaimed Traditional Ruler

The Mburubu Council of Chiefs, also known as the Igwe Cabinet, has officially disowned Mr. Jerry Patrick Onukaibe, who recently proclaimed himself as the 'Igwe-elect' of Mburubu Kingdom. The council, in a communiqué released on Saturday, vehemently refuted any endorsement or recognition of Onukaibe for the revered position of traditional ruler. According to the communiqué, the council expressed deep embarrassment over Onukaibe's self-presentation to the Chairman of Nkanu East LGA, labeling it as an act of impersonation and emphasizing that he was never nominated, selected, or recommended by the community for such a role.
