Renowned academic, Prof. Jehu Onyekwere Nnaji, PhD, extends warm congratulations to Governor Peter Ndubuisi Mbah following the Supreme Court's unequivocal affirmation of his election victory. The Supreme Court's decisive dismissal of the appeal filed by Labour Party candidate Chijoke Edeoga on Friday solidifies Governor Mbah's position. Prior to this, both the tribunal and the Court of Appeal had upheld the Independent National Electoral Commission's declaration of Mbah as the winner of the March 18th Governorship poll.

Highlighting the significance of the Supreme Court's ruling, it's worth noting that on November 10th, the Court of Appeal in Lagos had unanimously upheld Governor Peter Mbah's election, dismissing all three issues raised by the opposing party. This final affirmation not only secures Gov. Mbah's mandate but also paves the way for a focused and uninterrupted leadership in Enugu State. The verdict brings closure to a chapter marked by legal challenges, ensuring stability for the governance of Enugu State in the coming years.

Enugu: Mburubu 'Kingmakers' Council of Chiefs Denounce Controversial Self- Acclaimed Traditional Ruler

The Mburubu Council of Chiefs, also known as the Igwe Cabinet, has officially disowned Mr. Jerry Patrick Onukaibe, who recently proclaimed himself as the 'Igwe-elect' of Mburubu Kingdom. The council, in a communiqué released on Saturday, vehemently refuted any endorsement or recognition of Onukaibe for the revered position of traditional ruler.
