ENUGU FIRST LADY TO HOST THE JANUARY EDITION OF THE MONTHLY PRAYER RALLY OF ENUGU WOMEN PRAYER NETWORK


In a call for divine intervention and collective prayer, The Office of The First Lady, Enugu State with the Enugu State Women Prayer Network gear up to commence the new year with an impactful prayer rally themed "Victory Service/New Year Festival of Praise."


Scheduled for January 9th, 2024, at the iconic Okpara Square in Enugu, the event, hosted by Her Excellency, Mrs. Nkechinyere Mbah, Wife of the Governor of Enugu State, is set to kick off at 9 am.


The prayer gathering extends a warm invitation to women ministers, chairpersons, and women from all walks of life, transcending religious and political affiliations. Notably, the event is open to women politicians, wives of political office holders, traditional rulers, town union presidents, teachers, and market women.


The Enugu State Women Prayer Network, established in 2002 and led by Evangelist Mrs. Favour Ngozi Ugwuanyi, aims to foster unity, love, and empowerment among Enugu State women. The primary objectives include praying for government success, ensuring security, and advocating for the equitable distribution of democracy dividends.


Her Excellency, Mrs. Nkechinyere Mbah, demonstrated her commitment to humanitarian causes during the Christmas season. Visiting over 15 motherless homes, hospitals, and centers for the less privileged, she not only paid hospital bills for the indigent but also generously contributed to widows across the 17 local governments. This compassionate effort reflects her dedication to uplifting vulnerable segments of society.


Mrs. Mbah's commitment to positive change aligns seamlessly with the upcoming Women Prayer Rally. By dedicating time and resources to those in need, she emphasizes the importance of seeking divine intervention for the betterment of Enugu State. The event becomes an extension of her holistic approach towards fostering positive change, uniting women for a prosperous and harmonious year ahead.

Enugu: Mburubu 'Kingmakers' Council of Chiefs Denounce Controversial Self- Acclaimed Traditional Ruler

The Mburubu Council of Chiefs, also known as the Igwe Cabinet, has officially disowned Mr. Jerry Patrick Onukaibe, who recently proclaimed himself as the 'Igwe-elect' of Mburubu Kingdom. The council, in a communiqué released on Saturday, vehemently refuted any endorsement or recognition of Onukaibe for the revered position of traditional ruler. According to the communiqué, the council expressed deep embarrassment over Onukaibe's self-presentation to the Chairman of Nkanu East LGA, labeling it as an act of impersonation and emphasizing that he was never nominated, selected, or recommended by the community for such a role.
