UGWUANYI MAKES MARK AS HIS FREE HEALTHCARE PROJECT SAVES 10 INDIVIDUALS IN A ROLL

 


In a mega series of surgical interventions conducted on 25th and 26th of January 2024, The Gburugburu Free Surgery Programme has once again extended a lifeline to those in need, as 10 individuals underwent life-saving surgical interventions in the 10th batch of January 2024. Founded by the former Governor of Enugu State, His Excellency, Rt. Hon. Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi, the programme continues to alleviate the burdens of medical expenses for the masses, earning commendations from Enugu citizens for its steadfast commitment to humanity.

This latest activities of Gburugburu free surgery programme which saved the life of a woman from Obosi in Anambra state and nine (9) others from different surgical conditions that wrapped up the programme's surgical operations for the Month, was painstakingly recorded by Fountaincare Reporters and detailed below;


LIST OF 10 BENEFICIARIES OF THE MEGA SURGICAL INTERVENTIONS CONDUCTED ON 25/26-01-2024;


1. Okechukwu Afoma: A resident of Nsukka, originally from Obosi, Anambra State, Okechukwu was afflicted with a Left Femoral Hernia. Thanks to the programme, he received the necessary Herniorrhaphy procedure, restoring hope and health to his life. Contact: 07038346282


2. Eze Mama: At 85 years old, Eze Mama, hailing from Ozalla Ibagwa Ezimo Agu, faced a challenging battle with Lipoma on her left hand. With the expertise of the programme, she underwent a successful Lumpectomy, reclaiming comfort and mobility in her daily life. Contact: 08063290900

The Director-General of the Gburugburu Free Surgery Programme, Dr. George Ajogwu, lauded the compassionate gesture of the programme's founder and sponsor, Rt. Hon. Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi. He emphasized that the continuation of the programme post-office is a testament to his unwavering support for the good governance of the current administration, led by His Excellency, Barr. Peter Mbah, and his Deputy, Barr Ifeanyi Ossai, showcasing a collaborative effort towards the well-being of Enugu's populace. 


Dr. Ajogwu highlighted the significant development strides of the current administration which was recorded within few months they assumed office, citing the ongoing water availability, security, road revamp and constructions which has commenced at every corner of the state. "Governor Peter Mbah has turned Enugu State to a Construction Site" that Ajogwu concluded.


In heartfelt expressions of gratitude, the beneficiaries of the programme extend their sincerest thanks, appreciation, and prayers to Rt. Hon. Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi for his selfless dedication to improving their lives. Enugu: Mburubu 'Kingmakers' Council of Chiefs Denounce Controversial Self- Acclaimed Traditional Ruler

The Mburubu Council of Chiefs, also known as the Igwe Cabinet, has officially disowned Mr. Jerry Patrick Onukaibe, who recently proclaimed himself as the 'Igwe-elect' of Mburubu Kingdom. The council, in a communiqué released on Saturday, vehemently refuted any endorsement or recognition of Onukaibe for the revered position of traditional ruler. According to the communiqué, the council expressed deep embarrassment over Onukaibe's self-presentation to the Chairman of Nkanu East LGA, labeling it as an act of impersonation and emphasizing that he was never nominated, selected, or recommended by the community for such a role.
