Enugu Commissioner, Ezeh Commends Gov. Peter Mbah's Vision for Youth Development and Self-Reliance


The Enugu State Commissioner for Innovation, Science, and Technology, Engr. Prince Lawrence Ezeh has boldly declared that the era of foreign hijackers of our talented youths is over under the administration of His Excellency, Dr. Peter Ndubuisi Mbah.

Engr. Ezeh made this assertion during a visit with the Permanent Secretary and Heads of Department of the Ministry to a local manufacturer of electronic gadgets in Uwani, Enugu. He emphasized that Dr. Peter Ndubuisi Mbah is deeply committed to collaborating with and empowering talented and skillful youths for economic growth. Through the Ministry of Innovation, Science, and Technology, the government aims to provide the necessary support to assist local manufacturers.

The Commissioner was particularly impressed by a viral video showcasing an electronic wheelchair locally manufactured by a young man named Chisom Okechukwu in the state. He promptly reached out to Chisom, expressing interest in meeting with him to discuss further collaboration.

Upon further inquiry, it was revealed that Chisom Okechukwu doesn't only manufacture wheelchairs but also electrical ovens, microwaves, and electric gas cookers, all locally made. Engr. Ezeh commended Chisom's ingenuity, stating that with adequate support, his products could meet international standards. He invited Chisom to the Ministry for a detailed discussion and potential collaboration with the state government.

Overwhelmed with gratitude, Chisom thanked the Honourable Commissioner for his swift response to the viral video and for encouraging youths to engage in meaningful projects that uplift their livelihoods. He also expressed appreciation to Governor Dr. Peter Ndubuisi Mbah for his unwavering support for the youths of the state, citing his campaign slogan "Our Tomorrow is Here" as a testament to the government's commitment to youth empowerment. Chisom pledged his readiness to collaborate with the state government to produce more innovative products.

In a gesture of support and encouragement, Engr. Ezeh presented Chisom with a token of 100 thousand naira, personally from him. He assured Chisom and the people of Enugu that under Dr. Peter Ndubuisi Mbah's administration, the government's intervention will be evident, ushering in a new era of prosperity and self-reliance for the youth.

Enugu: Mburubu 'Kingmakers' Council of Chiefs Denounce Controversial Self- Acclaimed Traditional Ruler

The Mburubu Council of Chiefs, also known as the Igwe Cabinet, has officially disowned Mr. Jerry Patrick Onukaibe, who recently proclaimed himself as the 'Igwe-elect' of Mburubu Kingdom. The council, in a communiqué released on Saturday, vehemently refuted any endorsement or recognition of Onukaibe for the revered position of traditional ruler.
