Enugu Women Holds February Edition of Monthly Prayer Rally ...As NDLEA, AWLA, Join Forces in Prayer and Sensitisation for Welfare and Prosperity of Enugu State

Enugu was illuminated with fervent prayers and collective spiritual energy as the Enugu State Women Prayer Network convened its February edition at Okpara Square on Friday, dedicated and invoked divine intervention for the welfare and progress of Enugu State.

Hosted by the Office of the First Lady of Enugu State and anchored by Pastor Louis Ugochukwu Stephen, the event embodied the vision set forth by Her Excellency, Mrs. Nkechinyere Mbah, Wife of the Governor of Enugu State, to consecrate the state regularly to God's guidance and protection.

Drawing inspiration from the book of Job, Chapter 22, verses 21 to 30, titled "Acquaintance With God," the State Coordinator of the Enugu State Women Prayer Network, Evangelist Dr. Favour Ugwuanyi, delivered a stirring message on the importance of seeking alignment with God as the pathway to peace and prosperity. Emphasizing the transformative power of divine connection, she proclaimed, "If thou return to the Almighty, thou shalt be built up, Thou shalt put away iniquity far from thy tabernacles."

The prayer gathering also served as a platform for critical societal sensitization, with the Nigerian Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) Enugu Command represented by Deputy Commander Mrs. Mmeka Calista and spokesperson Mrs. Edith Udeh, urging women to vigilantly watch over their children and guard against the scourge of illicit drugs and negative influences.

In a demonstration of solidarity and shared commitment, the African Women Lawyers Association, represented by His Worship Ifeoma Nwagbara and Barrister Mrs. Nnenna Anozie, lent their voices to the chorus of prayers, underscoring the importance of collective action in advancing the state's interests.

The event was graced by an array of dignitaries and women ministers, including Chairpersons and Women Representatives from the 17 local governments of Enugu State, led by Mrs. Rita Edeh, as well as representatives from the Office of the First Lady of Enugu State and other officiating Ministers of the prayer Network, whose presence underscored the unity of purpose and shared determination to uplift and empower Enugu State's women.

As the sun set on the Michael Okpara Square, the echoes of heartfelt prayers lingered in the air, a testament to the unwavering faith and resilience of Enugu State's women in their quest for a brighter, more prosperous future. The February edition of the Enugu State Women Prayer Network had indeed served as a reassuring hope and a catalyst for positive change in the state.
