REMINDER: Deadline Approaching for Registrations/Verification Exercise For Crèches, NGOs, CSOs, and FBOs Operating within Enugu State.

 


As the deadline swiftly approaches, Enugu State's Ministry of Children, Gender Affairs, and Social Development issues a crucial reminder to all concerned entities. In alignment with Governor Peter Mbah's progressive governance agenda, the Ministry is conducting a Verification Exercise for crèches, NGOs, CSOs, and FBOs operating within the state.

Owners of these establishments are urged to take immediate action and visit the Ministry's office located at No. 5 FSP Road Independence Layout, WAEC Bus Stop, before February 29th, 2024. This Verification Exercise is mandatory, and failure to comply may result in government sanctions.


Mrs. Ngozi Enih, the Honourable Commissioner for Children, Gender Affairs, and Social Development, reiterated the significance of adherence to the directive. She emphasizes the necessity for affected entities to either register or renew their Certificate of Registrations, particularly for unregistered organizations, within the stipulated timeframe.

Enugu: Mburubu 'Kingmakers' Council of Chiefs Denounce Controversial Self- Acclaimed Traditional Ruler

The Mburubu Council of Chiefs, also known as the Igwe Cabinet, has officially disowned Mr. Jerry Patrick Onukaibe, who recently proclaimed himself as the 'Igwe-elect' of Mburubu Kingdom. The council, in a communiqué released on Saturday, vehemently refuted any endorsement or recognition of Onukaibe for the revered position of traditional ruler. According to the communiqué, the council expressed deep embarrassment over Onukaibe's self-presentation to the Chairman of Nkanu East LGA, labeling it as an act of impersonation and emphasizing that he was never nominated, selected, or recommended by the community for such a role.
