Ugwuanyi's Free Surgical Intervention Saves Five Individuals with Different Surgical Cases

 


In their recent surgical interventions that demonstrates remarkable display of compassion and commitment to public health, the Gburugburu Free Surgery Programme, founded and funded by former Enugu State Governor Rt. Hon. Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi, has successfully conducted life-saving surgical interventions for 5 Enugu residents.


The 22nd series of the programme conducted between Tuesday and Wednesday being 12th and 13th of March 2024 at Julius Ajogwu Memorial Hospital Nsukka, saw beneficiaries from various locations in Enugu who expressed their gratitude to the founder, Rt Hon Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi, the former Governor of Enugu State, they commended the Gburugburu Medical Team for their selfless services that brought relief to them as reported by Fountaincare Reporters Correspondents below;

While responding to the newsmen, the Director-General of the Gburugburu Free Surgery Programme, Dr. Ajogwu, expressed gratitude to His Excellency, Rt. Hon. Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi for his continuous funding of the humanitarian healthcare project even after leaving office in support of the current administration of Governor Peter Mbah and his Deputy, Governor Ifeanyi Ossai for good governance in Enugu State and their transformative journey in public health and other sectors.


The recent successes underscore the impactful beginning of healthcare in 2024, fostering optimism for positive transformations throughout the year. Dr. Ajogwu emphasized the collective duty of citizens to enhance the health and well-being of others, a principle embodied by the former Governor, His Excellency, Rt Hon Ugwuanyi, Governor Mbah, and Deputy Governor Ossai. The Free Surgery Programme continues to be a beacon of hope across the state, bringing health and healing to those in need.

Enugu: Mburubu 'Kingmakers' Council of Chiefs Denounce Controversial Self- Acclaimed Traditional Ruler

The Mburubu Council of Chiefs, also known as the Igwe Cabinet, has officially disowned Mr. Jerry Patrick Onukaibe, who recently proclaimed himself as the 'Igwe-elect' of Mburubu Kingdom. The council, in a communiqué released on Saturday, vehemently refuted any endorsement or recognition of Onukaibe for the revered position of traditional ruler. According to the communiqué, the council expressed deep embarrassment over Onukaibe's self-presentation to the Chairman of Nkanu East LGA, labeling it as an act of impersonation and emphasizing that he was never nominated, selected, or recommended by the community for such a role.
