Commencing on Tuesday, the 9th of April, and culminating on Thursday, the 11th of April 2024, this year's Eid festivities are imbued with messages of love, laughter, and healing.

In a statement delivered early on Tuesday morning, Dr. George Ajogwu, the Director-General of the Gburugburu Free Surgery Programme, conveyed warm felicitations on behalf of Rt. Hon. Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi and the entire medical team of the Humanitarian Healthcare Project. Dr. Ajogwu emphasized the importance of this celebration as a time for Muslims to come together in unity, prayer, and reflection, particularly in the face of economic challenges in Nigeria.

"May this year's Eid-el-Fitr be filled with the blessings of God and lasting peace," remarked Dr. Ajogwu. "In this period of economic hardship, let us unite as one, to pray and seek for God's intervention. Let's dedicate our dear country to God in prayers."

The message extended beyond mere well-wishes, as Dr. Ajogwu underscored the significance of fostering acts of kindness, forgiveness, and reconciliation during this auspicious period. He encouraged Muslims to use this time to mend relationships, seek forgiveness, and spread goodwill within their communities.

"Eid is a time to cherish with loved ones and create beautiful memories," he added. "Let us encourage acts of kindness, forgiveness, and reconciliation. It is a time for Muslims to reconcile with estranged family members or friends, forgive past grievances, and spread goodwill in our various communities."

Amidst the celebrations, the Gburugburu Free Surgery Programme remains committed to its mission of providing accessible healthcare services to all Nigerians, regardless of religious affiliation or socioeconomic status. The programme's dedication to healing extends beyond physical ailments, emphasizing the importance of holistic well-being and unity among all citizens.
