25 Days of Christmas Enugu: Afro Beat LockDown Brings Star-Studded Celebration to Coal City

 



Enugu is set to come alive on December 26, 2024, as the city hosts "25 Days of Christmas Enugu: Afro Beat LockDown to Coal City", a vibrant celebration of African music and culture. Powered by Omu Resort and endorsed by the Enugu State Government, the event promises to be a highlight of the festive season.


The free event kicks off at 7 pm at Michael Okpara Square, Enugu, and features an exciting lineup of top Afrobeat artistes, including Aguero Banks, Kolaboy, Mynoperuzzi, Hypeman Mish, and DJ Nips. With such a stellar roster, the event is expected to attract large crowds from across the region, drawing attention both within and outside the entertainment scene. The festival promises to bring the best of Afrobeat to the heart of Coal City, making it a must-attend celebration for music lovers.

Enugu: Finally, Suspected Killers of Ogbete Market Chairman Arrested

Operatives of the Enugu State Police Command have arrested two suspects linked to the killing of Mr. Stephen Aniagu, Chairman of the Ogbete Main Market Traders’ Association (OMMATA). The tragic incident occurred on September 14, 2024, when Mr. Aniagu was shot at Moses Ogbodo Junction near Topland Market in Amaechi, Enugu South Local Government Area.   Parading the suspects at the command headquarters on Friday, the Spokesperson of the Enugu State Police Command, DSP Daniel Ndukwe, disclosed that the arrests were the result of diligent intelligence work and coordinated efforts between detectives from the Anti-Robbery Section (D9) of the State CID and operatives of the Anti-Kidnapping Tactical Squad.   The suspects were identified as Chukwudi Aboshi, a 28-year-old native of Anike in Ikwo Local Government Area of Ebonyi State, and Ani Innocent Ebuka, also known as “Excellent,” a driver and native of Isigwe-Ugbawka in Nkanu East Local Government Area. A dramatic incident unfolded in the early hours of Sunday morning at a hotel in Agbani, Enugu State, when a woman, popularly known as Madam Gold , attacked a young lady, Ijeoma Nnamani, over an alleged affair with her sugar boy, identified as Micheal Ozoh. The altercation, which took place around 5 a.m., reportedly began when Madam Gold stormed the hotel, banging on the door of the room occupied by Micheal and Ijeoma. Madam Gold, known locally as the owner of a popular beer parlour joint in the area, allegedly forced her way into the room and unleashed a physical attack on Ijeoma upon finding the pair together.
