BREAKING! PEACE-TALK: Anambra State Govt Holds Strategic Meeting with Native Doctors, Traditional Leaders on Homeland Security Law

The Local Government Council chairman of Orumba South, Anambra State, Hon. Shedrack Azubuike, convened a critical meeting at the Council Secretariat in Umunze, bringing together Native Doctors, Ndi Eze Nwanyi, and Traditionalists from across the 15 communities in the Local Government Area. The discussions focused on the implementation of the new Anambra State Homeland Security Law and the role of traditional practitioners in maintaining order within the community.

The well-attended gathering provided an avenue for the Mayor to identify and profile key figures within the traditionalist circle, reinforcing the government's commitment to security and accountability. Addressing the attendees, Hon. Azubuike urged them to embrace hard work and distance themselves from any form of harmful practices that could undermine the peace and stability of Orumba South.

A strong message was delivered to non-indigenous traditional practitioners operating within Orumba South, as the Mayor gave them a 24-hour ultimatum to either desist from questionable practices or return to their respective hometowns. Furthermore, he issued a stern warning to Orumba South indigenes engaging in activities that desecrate water bodies, rivers, streams, and roads with ritual sacrifices, stressing that such actions would no longer be tolerated under the new security framework.

In his closing remarks, Hon. Azubuike extended a hand of fellowship to those willing to transition into more sustainable and legitimate businesses, assuring them of government support in finding alternative means of livelihood.

The meeting marks a significant step in the enforcement of the Anambra State Homeland Security Law, demonstrating the government's resolve to uphold law, order, and community values while fostering a peaceful and progressive Orumba South.
