Enugu Shines As Dr Chiesonu Iziga-Eruchalu Honored Among World’s Leading Women at the 2025 SHE Global Awards

In celebration of her brilliance, leadership, and compassion, Dr. Mrs. Chiesonu Iziga-Eruchalu (PhD, CBA, NIM, FIIMCA), was honored with a prestigious award for Excellence in Consulting and Humanitarian Service under the Top Ladies in Business category at the 2025 She Awards Global, held on 10th of  April at Protea Hotel, Ikeja, Lagos.

The event, themed “The Lipstick Force”, spotlighted outstanding women across various sectors who have demonstrated sophistication, high-level networking, and excellence in their fields. Representing Enugu State as the sole recipient from the region, Dr. Chiesonu stood out among a powerful lineup of global female achievers.

In her acceptance speech, Dr. Chiesonu expressed heartfelt gratitude; "With tears of joy streaming down my face and a heart so full it might burst, I stand in awe of God's grace for this prestigious SHE Global Award in my hands. The moment feels surreal to be recognized among extraordinary women and to represent Enugu as its sole recipient is honor beyond words..."

She dedicated the award to her family, friends, community, and especially to the people of Enugu, acknowledging the collective support that has shaped her journey. Her touching words not only highlighted her humility but also inspired many in attendance to stay true to their purpose.

A multifaceted professional, Dr. Chiesonu is the Managing Director of Glozig Enterprise and TConsult360, and the Founder of Chieso Life Foundation Nigeria (CLF). She is a public health consultant, researcher, data analyst, writer, humanitarian, and a visionary entrepreneur. She also serves as the Convener of the "Every Child Deserves Education Initiative" (ECDEI), a yearly program that provides educational support to underprivileged children through her foundation.

Dr. Chiesonu’s impressive background includes academic accolades from prestigious institutions such as the University of Nigeria Nsukka and the International Business School Americas, São Paulo, Brazil. A Fellow of the Institute of Micro Credit Administrators, she has over a decade of experience in youth and women empowerment, community development, and public service.

Beyond her professional milestones, Dr. Chiesonu has played key roles in socio-political advocacy, including her time as the former National Vice President of Ohanaeze Youth Council. Her contributions to national discourse, such as the presentation of a joint memorandum during the review of Nigeria’s 1999 Constitution, have earned her wide respect and admiration.

The She Awards Global 2025 also recognized other international personalities, including: Nalan Ozkan, Vice President of the International Businessperson and Diplomats Union (Turkey), Madam Isatu Meita Noubibou, Special Adviser to the President of Liberia and CEO of Mema's Marketing Services, Ms. Venancia Julius Msita, CEO/Founder of JSG Travellers Co. Dr. Chiesonu’s recognition is not just a personal milestone but a beacon of inspiration for young women across Nigeria and Africa at large. Enugu: Finally, Suspected Killers of Ogbete Market Chairman Arrested

Operatives of the Enugu State Police Command have arrested two suspects linked to the killing of Mr. Stephen Aniagu, Chairman of the Ogbete Main Market Traders’ Association (OMMATA). The tragic incident occurred on September 14, 2024, when Mr. Aniagu was shot at Moses Ogbodo Junction near Topland Market in Amaechi, Enugu South Local Government Area.   Parading the suspects at the command headquarters on Friday, the Spokesperson of the Enugu State Police Command, DSP Daniel Ndukwe, disclosed that the arrests were the result of diligent intelligence work and coordinated efforts between detectives from the Anti-Robbery Section (D9) of the State CID and operatives of the Anti-Kidnapping Tactical Squad.   The suspects were identified as Chukwudi Aboshi, a 28-year-old native of Anike in Ikwo Local Government Area of Ebonyi State, and Ani Innocent Ebuka, also known as “Excellent,” a driver and native of Isigwe-Ugbawka in Nkanu East Local Government Area. [VIDEO] Suspected Fulani Herdsmen Invade Enugu Community, Attack Residents

   Residents of  Ikedinkpa Affa , a community in  Udi Local Government Area of Enugu State , have raised alarm over an alleged invasion by suspected  Fulani herdsmen , leading to attacks and heightened tension in the area. In a disturbing video shared online by  Mr. Emeka Amadi , an indigene of the community, he decried the growing insecurity, stating that armed assailants had taken over parts of the community. "Our people are under threat from the Fulani terrorists… These men of the underworld are scavenging the lives of our people.
