In a heartfelt poetic tribute, Amb. Mrs. Amaka Nweke JP, Member IV of the Enugu State Local Government Service Commission, captures the spirit of a leader whose mandate has not only been fulfilled, but has inspired a new era of unity, development, and purposeful service.

The people of Enugu pause to reflect on two remarkable years of transformative leadership under Governor Peter Ndubuisi Mbah a tenure defined not by mere rhetoric, but by visible progress, inclusive governance, and a bold vision that has rekindled hope across the state.

A Mandate Fulfilled — A Tribute to Governor Peter Mbah

On the Occasion of His 2nd Year in Office, May 29, 2025

In the heart of the East where the hills kiss the skies,

A vision was born that would open our eyes.

Not just a promise wrapped in golden speech,

But a path of purpose within our reach.

Two years have passed—how swift the days—

Yet each one lit by your steady blaze.

You came not as ruler, aloof and apart,

But a servant-leader with an open heart.

From Nkanu’s roots to the corners wide,

Your arms embraced us all with pride.

I, born of Anambra, now fully embraced,

Found not just a role, but a cherished place.

In halls where voices were once hushed or dim,

You brought in light and listened to them.

The local government, once weary and slow,

Now beats with rhythm, begins to grow.

You taught us that unity isn’t mere talk,

It’s policy, practice, and how leaders walk.

You showed that inclusion is more than a name,

It’s giving all people a stake in the game.

Your dream for tomorrow is bold and bright,

Rooted in justice, powered by right.

Education, industry, roads, agriculture, water, health care, and peace in our streets. Under your hand, Enugu competes.

Today, we stand, two years gone by,

Grateful beneath this Enugu sky.

May history record, as our children will tell:

A Governor who led and led so well.

So here's to you, our Governor dear,

With loyal hearts, we rise and cheer.

Not just for what you've already done but for the greater heights still yet to come.

Congratulations!!

Amb. Mrs Amaka Nweke JP

Member IV Enugu State Local Government Service Commission
