In a heartfelt tribute marking the birthday of former Enugu State Governor and Senator, Dr. Chimaroke Nnamani, the Chief Executive Officer of Home Touch Properties Ltd, RT Hon. Sir Chidera Nwodo, has described the elder statesman as a gifted visionary, fearless reformer, and towering political thinker. Writing from Enugu, Nwodo extolled Dr. Nnamani’s legacy as the originator of the famed "Democracy Dividend" philosophy and the Aladimma political mantra, which continue to serve as ideological pillars for governance and development in Igboland. He praised the celebrant's lifelong advocacy for the welfare of the oppressed, especially women and children, and credited him for mentoring a new generation of leaders while confronting entrenched powers to build a more just society.

 "Today in history marks a great significance in the historic oil city of Port Harcourt- Dr Chimaroke Nnamani MD FACOG , that the Almighty blessed humanity with. A gifted child, a builder of leaders and institutions, the author of the coinage" Democracy Dividend"- a political coination that explains a symbiosm between the electorates and the elected leaders. Author of ALADIMMA mantra - a political substratum upon which the Igbo superstructure should be erected, a public teacher and Advocate of poverty alleviation program. A philosophical thinker, and an amazing Man whose interests criss cross the welfare of all people especially women and children a fiery and fearless defender of the oppressed, the marginalized , the ordinary people. This no doubt brought him in confrontation with supposed self acclaimed institutions and feudal Lords who naturally must defend the hitherto status quo that favored their traditional worship . Surprisingly he emerged victorious to the glory of God survived the battle but lost the peace , yes the Judases among his disciples handed him unguarded back to his enemies. The peters denied him. It took a divine intervention of yet one of his good disciples, a peace lover, a humane , humble and honest yet powerful lion, a magician in the management of men and resources that is seeing a total infrastructural transformation of all parts of enugu amidst 13th month salary, His Excellency Dr Lawrence Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi and the Enugu people to say that this is just morning of dawn on a creation day.

Today this great lion of the east from Amiyi Amakpu, Agbani, just like he does in the red chambers of the Nigerian senate now bestrides the Sexagenarian Hall like a colossus.

BREAKING: Two Feared Dead in Enugu Today as Oriokpa Masquerades Cause Havoc in Nsukka [TOUCHING VIDEOS]

Tragedy struck in Nsukka, Enugu State, as two persons were reportedly killed today, Tuesday, 24th of September 2024, in Nsukka Town in separate incidents involving the notorious Oriokpa masquerades, whose violent activities have continued to instill fear in the local communities. The first casualty, an unidentified middle-aged woman, met her untimely death at Aku Road, Obechara area, Nsukka, after being chased by one of the Oriokpa masquerades. In an attempt to escape, she ran into a moving truck and was killed instantly, causing widespread panic and horror among onlookers. In another incident at Nru Junction, a young male, later identified as a student of the University of Nigeria, Nsukka (UNN), also lost his life. [VIDEO] Suspected Fulani Herdsmen Invade Enugu Community, Attack Residents

   Residents of  Ikedinkpa Affa , a community in  Udi Local Government Area of Enugu State , have raised alarm over an alleged invasion by suspected  Fulani herdsmen , leading to attacks and heightened tension in the area. In a disturbing video shared online by  Mr. Emeka Amadi , an indigene of the community, he decried the growing insecurity, stating that armed assailants had taken over parts of the community. "Our people are under threat from the Fulani terrorists… These men of the underworld are scavenging the lives of our people. Happening now at Ikedinkpa Affa, Udi LGA, Enugu State,"  Amadi wrote, warning that the situation could escalate further.
