As Governor Peter Ndubuisi Mbah marks two remarkable years in office, encomiums have continued to pour in from across Enugu State, with Hon. Dr. Chinedu Mbah JP, the Senior Special Assistant to the Governor on Market Affairs, joining in the chorus of appreciation for what he described as “exceptional and disruptive leadership.”

In a heartfelt goodwill message titled "Congratulatory Message to His Excellency, Barr. Peter Ndubuisi Mbah, the Executive Governor of Enugu State", Hon. Dr. Chinedu Mbah extolled Governor Mbah’s visionary governance, which he said has redefined public service delivery in Enugu State, especially in the area of market and trader development.

Dr. Mbah praised the Governor’s inclusive economic policies, citing initiatives like the revitalization of market infrastructure, enhanced sanitation and safety in commercial hubs, financial support for traders, and the digitalization of market administration, which he described as transformative milestones in ensuring that traders and market stakeholders are not left behind in the state’s development agenda.

> “Your broad action of disruptive innovation has brought transparency, traceable growth of the state economy, and development that has altered the trajectory as formerly known. On this day, we can boldly say that your good work must be sustained come 2027,” Dr. Mbah stated.


According to him, these changes have provided renewed hope for thousands of market women and men who now operate in more organized, secure, and hygienic conditions across the state. He affirmed that the slogan “Tomorrow is Here” has become a lived reality, especially among the grassroots and commercial class.

Broad-Based Achievements Across Key Sectors

Beyond the markets, Governor Mbah’s administration has recorded groundbreaking successes in other sectors of the state’s economy:

Water Sector: The restoration of daily potable water supply to Enugu metropolis, notably within the Governor’s 180-day promise, stands as a monumental achievement. Over 120 million liters of water are now pumped daily, significantly improving health and sanitation across communities.

Infrastructure: Governor Mbah’s government has aggressively pursued road reconstruction and new infrastructure development. Signature projects like the Enugu Smart Schools, Enugu City Boulevard, and the Owo-Ubahu-Amankanu-Neke-Ikem dual carriageway are reshaping urban and rural connectivity.

Healthcare: The administration has completed over 260 type-2 primary healthcare centers across 260 wards, guaranteeing access to affordable, quality healthcare even in remote locations.

Agriculture: Through the Special Agro-Processing Zones (SAPZ) and a focus on commercial farming, the state is building a new agricultural economy capable of feeding the population and boosting exports.

Education: A radical overhaul of public education through technology-driven smart schools and curriculum reform has placed Enugu on the path to becoming a knowledge economy.

Justice Reform and Digital Economy: By digitizing judicial processes and creating legal reforms, the Mbah-led government has improved access to justice. Meanwhile, the state’s digital economy drive is attracting tech investors and expanding opportunities for youths.

Transportation and Housing: Through urban renewal projects and housing developments, Enugu is evolving into a smart and livable city with modern mass transit and public housing systems.

Dr. Chinedu Mbah concluded his message with a prayer for divine strength and guidance upon Governor Mbah, reaffirming his full support for the Governor’s reelection bid in 2027.

[VIDEO] Suspected Fulani Herdsmen Invade Enugu Community, Attack Residents

   Residents of  Ikedinkpa Affa , a community in  Udi Local Government Area of Enugu State , have raised alarm over an alleged invasion by suspected  Fulani herdsmen , leading to attacks and heightened tension in the area. In a disturbing video shared online by  Mr. Emeka Amadi , an indigene of the community, he decried the growing insecurity, stating that armed assailants had taken over parts of the community.
