DEMOCRACY DAY: Hon. Dr. Chinedu Mbah Hails Governor Peter Mbah, Sends Heartwarming Message to Ndi Enugu

As Nigeria marks 26 years of uninterrupted democratic governance, the Senior Special Assistant to the Executive Governor of Enugu State on Market Affairs, Hon. Dr. Chinedu Mbah, has extended a heartfelt Democracy Day message to the people of Enugu State, commending the exceptional leadership of His Excellency, Barr. Peter Ndubuisi Mbah.

In his Democracy Day message, Hon. Dr. Mbah described the day as not just a celebration of the ballot but a reaffirmation of the people’s collective will, courage, and faith in a government that truly serves. He noted that democracy thrives when leaders place the people's welfare at the center of governance, and he proudly affirmed that this has been the hallmark of Governor Peter Mbah’s administration.

According to him, “Governor Peter Ndubuisi Mbah has shown uncommon courage, foresight, and capacity in redefining governance in Enugu State. From tackling long-standing issues like water provision, to launching a digital transformation agenda and massive infrastructural developments, his strides speak volumes of what purposeful leadership can achieve under democracy.”

Hon. Dr. Chinedu Mbah particularly praised the governor’s inclusive governance model, especially in market reforms and human capital development. He noted that under Governor Mbah's watch, markets across the state are experiencing a new wave of organization, sanitation, and empowerment — changes that speak directly to the economic well-being of the people.

He emphasized that the people of Enugu have every reason to celebrate, as Governor Mbah has made visible efforts in ensuring that democracy is not just a political idea but a practical experience in their daily lives. “This is the true meaning of democracy — when policies are people-focused, and when every citizen, from the urban centers to the grassroots, feels the impact of good governance.”

While urging citizens to remain hopeful and continue supporting the present administration, Dr. Mbah encouraged active civic engagement and unity of purpose, assuring that the best of Enugu State is still ahead.

Tragedy struck in Nsukka, Enugu State, as two persons were reportedly killed today, Tuesday, 24th of September 2024, in Nsukka Town in separate incidents involving the notorious Oriokpa masquerades, whose violent activities have continued to instill fear in the local communities. [VIDEO] Suspected Fulani Herdsmen Invade Enugu Community, Attack Residents

   Residents of  Ikedinkpa Affa , a community in  Udi Local Government Area of Enugu State , have raised alarm over an alleged invasion by suspected  Fulani herdsmen , leading to attacks and heightened tension in the area. In a disturbing video shared online by  Mr. Emeka Amadi , an indigene of the community, he decried the growing insecurity, stating that armed assailants had taken over parts of the community.
