Enugu NYAN Kicks Off Interest Form Sales Ahead of July 2 Convention



The Enugu State Chapter of the National Youth Assembly of Nigeria (NYAN) has officially declared the commencement of sales of interest forms for its forthcoming state convention. According to the Convention Planning Committee (CPC), the window for form collection will run from Thursday, 13th June to Sunday, 30th June 2025.

This announcement signals the beginning of a critical phase in the lead-up to the highly anticipated state convention, scheduled to hold on Wednesday, 2nd July 2025. The convention is expected to gather vibrant youth stakeholders, emerging leaders, and aspirants who are passionate about championing youth advocacy, public service, and community engagement across Enugu State.

Eligible and interested individuals are strongly encouraged to seize this opportunity by picking up the interest forms within the stipulated timeframe. Early application will allow for smooth processing and ensure full inclusion in all pre-convention and convention activities.

Speaking on the development, the CPC emphasized the importance of youth involvement in governance and policymaking, noting that the NYAN platform offers a credible channel through which young people can contribute to societal progress and influence positive change.

Enugu: Finally, Suspected Killers of Ogbete Market Chairman Arrested

Operatives of the Enugu State Police Command have arrested two suspects linked to the killing of Mr. Stephen Aniagu, Chairman of the Ogbete Main Market Traders’ Association (OMMATA).    Residents of  Ikedinkpa Affa , a community in  Udi Local Government Area of Enugu State , have raised alarm over an alleged invasion by suspected  Fulani herdsmen , leading to attacks and heightened tension in the area. In a disturbing video shared online by  Mr. Emeka Amadi , an indigene of the community, he decried the growing insecurity, stating that armed assailants had taken over parts of the community.
