On this joyous occasion of your successful One Year in Office anniversary, I, Rt. Hon. Paul Nnajiofor (Ononenyi na Owo), Special Adviser to the Governor on Legislative Matters and a former two-time Member of the Enugu State House of Assembly who joyfully  represented the good people of Nkanu East Constituency from 2015 to 2023, join the entire people of Nkanu East, Enugu State, and well-meaning Nigerians to celebrate a leader of uncommon vision, Hon. Sydney Okechukwu Edeh (Dr. Sydok).


I have countless reasons to thank the Almighty God for His grace upon your life and for sustaining you with wisdom, strength, and favour from the very beginning of your leadership journey. From the first day I encountered you, I saw in you a great star of genuine capacity for selfless service, a man specially bred and divinely prepared to lead, to serve, to work, to develop communities, and to uplift humanity in line with Dr Peter Ndubuisi Mbah vision of changing the narratives in governance through disruptive innovation approach 

Hon Okechukwu Edeh Our Mayor,, is a special breed born for a special purpose. He is happiest when others are happy, and he derives fulfillment in bringing smiles to the faces of his people. We, the stakeholders of Nkanu East, are proud to call you our Executive Chairman because the reasons are visible and overwhelming.

Infrastructure development? You are there. human capital development? You are there. Stomach infrastructure and social welfare? You are there.

Indeed, in every sector of service, Dr. Sydok is there, making impact and transforming lives.

Within just one year in office, your tenure has become synonymous with achievement, progress, and breakthrough. As Executive Chairman of Nkanu East and as the State ALGON Chairman, you have continued to bring good luck and good fortunes to our people, one day, one good news! Your name now resonates not only across Enugu State but also on the national stage, where your sterling leadership continues to attract recognition and respect.

Enugu: Finally, Suspected Killers of Ogbete Market Chairman Arrested

Operatives of the Enugu State Police Command have arrested two suspects linked to the killing of Mr. Stephen Aniagu, Chairman of the Ogbete Main Market Traders’ Association (OMMATA). The tragic incident occurred on September 14, 2024, when Mr. Aniagu was shot at Moses Ogbodo Junction near Topland Market in Amaechi, Enugu South Local Government Area.   Parading the suspects at the command headquarters on Friday, the Spokesperson of the Enugu State Police Command, DSP Daniel Ndukwe, disclosed that the arrests were the result of diligent intelligence work and coordinated efforts between detectives from the Anti-Robbery Section (D9) of the State CID and operatives of the Anti-Kidnapping Tactical Squad.   The suspects were identified as Chukwudi Aboshi, a 28-year-old native of Anike in Ikwo Local Government Area of Ebonyi State, and Ani Innocent Ebuka, also known as “Excellent,” a driver and native of Isigwe-Ugbawka in Nkanu East Local Government Area. [VIDEO] Suspected Fulani Herdsmen Invade Enugu Community, Attack Residents

   Residents of  Ikedinkpa Affa , a community in  Udi Local Government Area of Enugu State , have raised alarm over an alleged invasion by suspected  Fulani herdsmen , leading to attacks and heightened tension in the area. In a disturbing video shared online by  Mr. Emeka Amadi , an indigene of the community, he decried the growing insecurity, stating that armed assailants had taken over parts of the community. "Our people are under threat from the Fulani terrorists… These men of the underworld are scavenging the lives of our people.
