A popular Enugu formidable grassroots-oriented political movement, G17 for Peter Mbah, has applauded President Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu and the Executive Governor of Enugu State, Dr. Peter Ndubuisi Mbah, following the nomination and swearing-in of the Attorney-General and Commissioner for Justice, Enugu State, Dr. Kingsley Tochukwu Udeh, SAN, as Minister of the Federal Republic of Nigeria to champion, Innovation, Science and Technology.

In a statement made in Enugu, the Convener and Board of Trustees Chairman of the G-17 Political Movement, Hon. Dr. Chinedu Mbah described the appointment as “a national elevation of impact, competence, and excellence,” Hon. Chinedu Mbah stated that this development is a clear testament that Governor Mbah’s strategic political reconnection and realignment with the centre is already yielding visible dividends. According to him, Governor Mbah has successfully repositioned Enugu State from the sidelines of national political influence into the heart of national political conversation and this appointment marks one of the strongest proofs that Enugu is now back to the national table.

He described Dr. Kingsley Udeh as a refined intellectual, an accomplished global legal mind, and a humble visionary whose academic records, governance impact and reform-driven approach have earned him national respect. He commended Governor Mbah for deliberately empowering youths with national visibility, and lauded President Tinubu for recognizing merit above politics.

Dr. Kingsley  Udeh, SAN, has been widely celebrated across the state for his intellectual depth, calm administrative discipline, legal scholarship and reform-driven leadership style that transformed the Ministry of Justice in Enugu State into a modern, efficient, and performance-based public institution. Under his watch, the State witnessed historic legal reforms, judicial restructuring, improved access to justice services, increased prosecutorial efficiency, digital transformation within prosecution processes and a new era of adherence to global best legal practices. His leadership demonstrated what it means to combine academic excellence with practical governance skills, delivering real measurable value to the people of Enugu State within a short perperiod. 

As Attorney-General and Commissioner for Justice, Dr. Udeh earned the respect of the legal community nationwide, and also gained recognition beyond Nigeria due to his grounded knowledge in public law, his strong advocacy for justice sector strengthening and his commitment to institutional transparency. His style was never loud, but effective consistent, brilliant, deeply researched and strategically grounded.
