My husband and I rushed out to the hospital and were asked to take her to orthopedic hospital. Immediately, we drove down Orthopaedic hospital.   The Enugu State Waste Management Authority (ESWAMA) has issued a public service announcement informing residents of Enugu State that this month’s clean-up exercise will hold on Saturday, 27th September 2025 , between the hours of 7:00am and 10:00am . According to the statement signed by Joshua Ozioko , Head of Public Relations for the management of ESWAMA, movement of people and vehicles during the exercise is strictly prohibited, except for those on essential services who must provide a valid means of identification or ESWAMA’s official pass. Offenders, the agency warned, will be arrested and prosecuted at the environmental mobile court of law. The announcement further directed that all early morning sporting activities across the state, as well as the loading and off-loading of passengers in motor parks and other commercial activities, should be suspended during the clean-up exercise.   A massive tanker fire has broken out this evening at  Ugwu Onyeama  along the Enugu–Awka expressway, causing panic and major traffic disruption. Travelers heading to  Enugu from Awka  or vice versa are strongly advised to avoid the area as emergency operations are underway. According to reports, the  Enugu State Fire Service  has deployed  three fire trucks  to the scene and is currently battling to contain the blaze. Authorities have urged motorists to  take alternative routes  to prevent delays and ensure safety. As of the time of this report, the cause of the fire has not yet been determined, and there are no immediate details on casualties or property damage.  The Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) has alerted motorists using the Ugwu-Onyema axis of Enugu-Onitsha Expressway of an accident of diesel ladened tanker, whose diesel product has spilled and went on flame. The FRSC Sector Commander in Enugu State, Mr Franklin Agbakoba, issued the alert to newsmen on Thursday in Enugu. Agbakoba, who said that the incident happened at about 6:16p.m., said that FRSC personnel had advised and diverted traffic on the expressway. He said that motorists and pedestrians are advised and directed to follow the Inside Ngwo Community Road, popularly known as "Ngwo Snake Road" while going into and outside Enugu metropolis for now.
